Problem Note 56451: The error "The Application is not authorized to use SAS Logon Manager" occurs when you try to log on to SAS® Environment Manager
When you attempt to log on to SAS Environment Manager with a valid user account, the following error message is generated in the browser:
The application is not authorized to use SAS Logon Manager
This problem results, usually, as a side affect of applying hot fixes (specifically Hot Fix R75005).
To work around this problem, you need to add a global application property (ServiceUrl.Allowed, as follows:
- Log on to SAS® Management Console as an unrestricted user.
- From the Plugins tab in SAS Management Console, select Application Management ► Configuration Manager. Then right-click SAS Application Infrastructure and select Properties.
- On the Advanced tab in the properties dialog box, add the following values:
- For Property Name, enter ServiceUrl.Allowed. This property name is case-sensitive. Therefore, enter it exactly as shown here.
- For Property Value, enter the URL for the SAS Environment Manager console. The URL syntax for the console URL is as follows:
protocol://your.host.name:port-number/**
Example:
http://your.host.name:7080/**
Notes about the URL syntax:
- The two trailing asterisks are required in the URL path.
- The values for protocol, host-name, and port-number should match the values for the URL that you use to access SAS Environment Manager.
- Click OK to exit the dialog box. Then click OK again in the application to apply the new setting.
- Restart SAS® Web Application Server.
